El Paso County Property Rights
Coalition
This is only a picture of a few turbines. They want to install 153 of these.
As you can see the massive size of these Turbines standing approx. 448 feet tall, or a whopping 44 stories..

Our serene Eastern El Paso County rural farming and ranching community is beening threatened. A wind farm developer, Golden West Power Partners, is wanting $400 million in Tax Payer Subsidies
About
El Paso County Property Rights Coalition in Colorado was established due to a Wind Developer that wants $400 million in Tax Payer Subsidies...This Wind Farm Project will ruin our serene Ranching and Farming Community. Golden West and NextEra were very secretive about this Wind Farm Project.
We have several home owners that are members of this Association.
El Paso County Property Rights Coalition is regestered as a Non-Profit with the State of Colorado. We operate on Donations only!!!
Goal
These Wind Turbines are only fully effective at sea level for producing power. Not at any higher altitude.
The other problem comes when they want to put these Massive 448 foot (44 story) Turbines in fairly highly populated areas.
Serious negative health effects have been experienced and professionally documented by thousands of homeowners and medical professionals all over the world who have dealt with wind turbines being installed within a mile of family homes. Some people have been forced to abandon their homes and walk away because family members have suffered from migraine headaches, sleep deprivation, anxiety, nervousness, tinnitus and severe inner ear problems. There are numerous Documentary Films available for the viewing on You Tube for years, so no excuse for ignorance is acceptable from any landowner who took the money from the wind farm developer with no regard whatsoever for their neighbors nor for the El Paso Board of County Commissioners who embraced 10 year old research provided by Golden West Power Partners and ignored the pleas from home owners who begged them during the public hearing to delay their vote and look into potential negative impacts to victims.
Our Goal is to stop these horrible wind farms, as well as help other communities stop these devasting wind projects.
Golden West romanced the El Paso Board of County Commissioners with a $4 million gift and a few landowners that owned very large parcels of land with promises of large yearly payouts on land leases. Once discovered and with very little time to react, over a dozen well informed, yet panicked homeowners appeared at the El Paso Board of County Commissioners public hearing and were allowed only 5 minutes each to voice their concerns to the indifferent County Commissioners. Immediately after the quick public hearing, it was discovered that over 90 homeowners will be negatively impacted as 153 wind turbines over 44 stories tall are designated to be placed 4000 feet or closer to their individual homes with some clusters of turbines due to be installed as close as 1000 feet from non-participating homes (the measurement is called a “Set Back”).
The other problem is that these companies can not sustain themselves without the Government Subsidies. There are many Wind Farm Developers that have filed bankruptcy, closed thier doors or sold off to another company after they have recieved the subsidies.
Once this happens who is responsible for the mainteance and decommisioning of these massive Turbines? No One...
There are these Turbine Rust Buckets all over the Country and your tax dollars are lost forever...
The wind corridor that tens of thousands of migratory birds use to travel as the seasons change is the very wind corridor that Golden West Power Partners has coveted to install 153 wind turbines over 40 stories tall. At the tips of the blades of the turbines, the speed with which the tips cut through the air is about 200 MPH. Canadian Geese, Falcons, Hawks, Cranes and other birds that are hit by the 200 MPH blades are terminally injured. In November of 2013, just 4 weeks before the El Paso Board of County Commissioners voted in approval of the wind farm development, Duke Energy, a wind farm developer that installed a Wind Farm in Wyoming, was fined $1 million for the massive bird deaths that resulted from wind turbines. One has to wonder if that $1 million was used to magically resurrect the birds and restore them to life.
